Find the thirteen adjacent digits in the 1000-digit number that have the greatest product. What is the value of this product?
Concept :
This solution of this problem is very simple and straight forward, we are using the following algorithm.
- Store 1000 digit number in a String.
- Run the loop from 0 to (1000-12).
- Inside loop find the substring for each index and extract 13 digits.
- Now convert this substring into BigInteger and multiply all the digits.
- Store multiplication in one variable.
- Find max on repeating steps 3 to 5.
